Arvig to Reopen Retail Centers on June 1

Arvig will reopen its Retail Centers beginning June 1, to resume normal operations including customer service and bill payment. Even so,  customers will notice some changes when they visit. In an effort to keep both customers and employees safe, Arvig has implemented physical distancing guidelines and installed protective measures to decrease the likelihood of the virus spreading within its locations.

Arvig’s announcement follows an executive order issued by the State of Minnesota allowing retail businesses to reopen at 50 percent capacity.

“We’re pleased to begin reopening our Retail Centers around the Arvig service area,” said David Arvig, Vice President and COO. “While we’re eager to get back to serving our customers in person, the health and safety of both our customers and employees is the top priority.”

Arvig will allow two customers in each location at one time. As part of its company-wide safety protocols, Arvig will continue to maintain proper physical distancing guidelines and other precautions, including disinfecting high-use areas and wearing masks. Hand sanitizer dispensers will be available at the door and plastic shielding will be installed in front-desk areas. Arvig is recommending that customers visiting stores wear masks. Floor markings will indicate the 6-foot recommended distance.

Computer repair services in Detroit Lakes, Henning, Melrose, Park Rapids, Perham and Sauk Centre will also resume. In addition, Arvig sales teams will resume on-site visits and door-to-door sales beginning June 1. Arvig technicians will proceed with service calls as usual, under the same safety protocols.

Retail hours for the Perham, Detroit Lakes, Park Rapids, Walker, Melrose and Sauk Centre locations will be 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Hours for all other locations will remain the same and are listed on our website,  www.arvig.com/locations.
