Impostors Approaching Residents Claiming to be Arvig Employees in Rochester Area

Arvig has discovered people unaffiliated with the company have approached Rochester area residents claiming to be Arvig service technicians and requesting access to homes. In at least one instance the person said they were “checking signal strength.” It is possible these individuals are selling services for another company and might be claiming to be Arvig partners. 

Please be advised these contacts were not made by Arvig employees nor any Arvig vendor and Arvig does not provide residential internet services in the Rochester area.

If you encounter a similar situation, for your safety, please call 911. People are encouraged to report any suspicious activity to authorities.
